BPDM

From the specification:

BPDM is a technology specification for vendors to use to define how they serialize or exchange their process depictions, allowing for industry interoperability. For most business analysts and process users, this is all they really need to know about BPDM. What BPDM support means is that your process assets are not locked into a particular tool or notation; they are assets that can work across a wide range of tools and solutions.

This last part is important. opengrc.org is evolving (in my head) as a mix between custom REST services and processes that together provide a domain application. Clearly in developing such an app it is important that it will run across different platforms. Interoperability is important to users.
